This event was held on the 16th of Octo­ber, 2024, at the UN in Geneva.

The inter­twined issues of migra­tion, refugee flows, and traf­fick­ing in per­sons form a com­plex and urgent glob­al chal­lenge. The 2024 Inter­na­tion­al Orga­ni­za­tion for Migra­tion (IOM) Report esti­mates 281 mil­lion inter­na­tion­al migrants and refugees flee­ing con­flict and per­se­cu­tion. Among these migrants, many are exploit­ed through human trafficking.
